Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Citerank ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Webfor LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Citerank. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@citerankscore.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying algorithms of the Service
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written consent
Use the Service to build a competing product or to benchmark competing products commercially without our written consent
Submit false, misleading, or unlawful content to the Service
Attempt to bypass rate limits, scan quotas, or payment gates through technical means (including account cycling, shared credentials, or API key abuse)
Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service beyond our published Public API and its documented rate limits
Submit domains or URLs you do not own or have no legitimate interest in auditing
Use the Service to harvest or scrape data from third-party websites in violation of their terms
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

4. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor (LemonSqueezy). All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Free plan usage is limited to 3 audits per month and excludes pro-only tools. Limits may change at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content (excluding data you provide) are owned by Webfor LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You retain ownership of data you input. You grant us a limited license to process your data to provide the Service.

6. Third-Party Services

Citerank integrates with third-party APIs including Google, Perplexity AI, OpenAI, and DataForSEO. Your use of data from these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or policies of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. AI SEARCH VISIBILITY DATA IS PROBABILISTIC AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS THE SOLE BASIS FOR BUSINESS DECISIONS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBFOR LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination and Subscription Lapse

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any reason at our discretion with or without notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

When a paid subscription lapses (non-renewal or payment failure):

Your account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the paid billing period.
Access to paid features (Citation Monitoring, Site Crawler, PDF exports, Client Workspaces, etc.) is suspended immediately upon downgrade.
Your data — scan history, domain projects, business profiles, and API keys — is retained for 90 days from the downgrade date.
If you resubscribe within 90 days, your data and settings are fully restored.
After 90 days of inactivity on a lapsed account, scan history older than your Free plan retention window may be permanently deleted. We will send an email warning 14 days before any deletion.
API keys associated with paid tiers are suspended (not deleted) upon downgrade and reactivated automatically upon resubscription.

To avoid data loss, we recommend downloading your data export (Settings → Account → Download my data) before cancelling.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Washington.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
